  • potatoes - 21 oz (600 g), fresh if possible
  • olive oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • paprika - 1 tsp, smoked
  • cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • thyme - 1 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • turmeric - 1 tsp
  • black pepper
  • salt - to taste
  • dill - several bunches, fresh

Clean the potatoes without peeling them, leave any smaller ones whole, cut the larger ones in half.

Combine all of the dry and liquid ingredients in a bowl, pour this mixture over the potatoes and stir until they get flavored well.

In the oven dish you intend to bake, put a large sheet of aluminum foil, so that it spills outside of the dish.

Put the potatoes and whole unpeeled garlic cloves in it, then cover them on top with the extra foil.

Bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven for 30 min., then take them out, cut the foil away on top so that the potatoes become exposed. Put it back in the oven for another 10 min. to gain a nice crisp.

Sprinkle with dill at the end.
