  • almonds - 2/3 cup (150 g), roasted and unsalted
  • hazelnuts - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g), roasted and unsalted
  • candied fruits - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • flour - 1/5 cup (65 g)
  • powdered sugar - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g) + a little more for sprinkling
  • honey - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • cinnamon
  • vanilla
  • coriander
  • nutmeg
  • cloves
  • white pepper

Grind the hazelnuts and almonds, put them in a bowl together with the candied fruits (diced), flour and spices.

Pour the powdered sugar and honey in a container with a thick bottom. Heat them until they melt and turn to syrup but don't let the mixture come to a boil.

Add the nut mixture and stir very well. Smear a suitable form with a little butter. Pour the mixture into it and even it out.

Bake the cake in a preheated 320°F (160 °C) oven for about 35 min. Take it out of the oven and release carefully from the form. Let it cool on a cooking grid for 1 hour.

Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and leave it for another hour. Cut it into very thin slices.find similar recipes here
