Boil the cleaned chicken in a tight-closing pot. Season it with salt, smear with oil and sprinkle with paprika on all sides.
Cut the sauerkraut into strips and clean the hard part. Put it in an oven dish, add the paprika and oil.
Stir and bake for about 10 min. Put the chicken in the oven dish, add 2 cups of the broth and put the oven dish back in the oven.
Bake the chicken to a golden crust, stirring the sauerkraut periodically. Add the bay leaves and sprinkle with black pepper.
