Ingredients

  • eggs - 4
  • sugar - 1 1/2 cups
  • oil - 1 cup
  • milk - 1 cup, or yoghurt
  • walnuts - 40, coarsely chopped
  • baking powder - 1 packet
  • flour - 2 cups
  • vanilla - 2 packets
  • lemons - grated rind of 1
  • cocoa - 2 tbsp
  • for the filling
  • marmalade - 1 jar of your choice
  • confectionery cream - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml), liquid
  • chocolate - 2 oz (50 g), grated
  • walnuts - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g), crumbled

Preparation

Begin combining and beating the ingredients in the order listed. Pour the prepared mixture into a form that you've buttered and floured ahead of time.

Bake the layer in a moderate oven until your toothpick comes out dry when you poke it.

Remove from the form. Once it cools completely, cut it into 2-3 separate layers. Stick them together with marmalade and cream.

Decorate the entire cake with cream and sprinkle it all over with grated chocolate and nuts.find similar recipes here
