Melt the butter in the microwave and add the sugar to it, stir until it melts. Add the eggs and vanilla.
Sift the flour through a sieve. Then gradually add the cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder, while continuing to stir.
Pour the resulting mixture into a pre-buttered and floured oven dish. Bake at about 356°F (180 °C) for about 25-30 min.
Melt the dark chocolate and butter. Stir until homogeneous. Pour this glaze over the brownies. If desired, decorate with fondant figurines.
