How to cook
Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°С).
Heat the milk, butter and cream cheese together on the stove on medium heat, then beat with a stirrer and leave them to cool. Add the yolks and stir well.
Sift the flour and starch and add them.
Beat the egg whites to snow in a separate bowl, then add the sugar and beat the mixture some more.
Pour the egg white mixture into the yolk one in 4 parts, while stirring very carefully.
Butter a round baking form 8″ (20 cm) in diameter and cover its bottom and sides with baking paper. Pour the mixture into it and bake in a water bath for about 30 min. at 320°F (160°С) and then about 55 min. at 275°F (135°С) until the cheesecake doubles in height.
Leave the cheesecake to cool completely in the oven or it will deflate.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
