How to cook
First, make the caramel by melting the sugar until it takes on an amber color. Leave the prepared caramel to cool a bit and smear it with a small lump of butter.
Then peel and cut the apples into slices. Arrange them in an oven dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Make the dough for the layer by beating the eggs with the sugar and adding the vanilla.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and gradually add it to the egg mixture.
Pour the mixture into the oven dish with the fruits. Bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven about 30 min. Then leave it to cool and invert onto a suitable plate.
Optionally, serve with a scoop of ice cream.
