How to cook
Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk. Sift the flour and add the effervescent yeast, along with the milk, eggs, salt, powdered sugar and vanilla.
Knead a soft dough. Cover it with foil and leave it in a warm area to rise.
Once it doubles in volume, divide it into balls. Roll out each ball into a sheet about 1/2″ (1 cm) thick.
Cut out circles using a ring. You can cut out the middles with a smaller ring, to form a hole.
Heat the oil. You can use a deep fryer if you like. Fry the donuts until golden.
Drain the ready donuts onto paper towels.
Make a glaze by adding the powdered sugar to the lemon juice and stirring.
Smear the donuts with the glaze.
