Put the walnuts at the bottom of an oiled baking form. Pour on the dough, made from the ingredients for it.
Once it's baked, turn it over - this way the walnuts end up on top. Make holes the width of a pencil point (can use a fork). Mix the ingredients for the syrup together and put it to boil.
Pour the hot syrup over the cake with the holes. Make a glaze from the 2 whites and sugar, smear it on the cake and bake on the top element only.
