How to cook
Boil a syrup from the water, sugar and vanilla for about 5 min. Remove from the stove and cool. Arrange half the phyllo pastry sheets in an oiled oven dish, while oiling each one as well.
Pour the stuffing on top, prepared from the flour, sugar, baking powder, beaten eggs, ground walnuts and cinnamon.
Arrange half the remaining phyllo pastry sheets on top. Cut it with a sharp knife. Pour the oil over the pieces.
Bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven for about 30 min. Take the phyllo pastry out and pour the cooled syrup over it. Leave it overnight before serving.
