Put the lamb meat in a large oven dish, pour on the mixture and rub the meat with it well. Cover the oven dish tightly with aluminum foil and put it in a preheated 320°F (160 °C) oven for 2 hours.
Clean and chop the potatoes into crescents. After the 2 hours, take the oven dish out, remove the foil and add the potatoes.
If a lot of the liquid has boiled off, add vegetable broth, season with a little black pepper and salt if needed and return to the oven at 356°F (180 °C) for 30 min.
Serve with a lettuce salad and cold beer.
