Grandma`s Easy Fritters with 1 Egg

  • eggs - 1, L
  • yoghurt - 4 tbsp
  • baking soda - 1 pinch
  • sugar - 1 small pinch
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • flour - 1 cup
  • oil - for frying
  • jam - plum or strawberry


Sift the flour. Whisk the egg in a small bowl. Add the sugar, salt and stir again.

Put the baking soda in 4 tbsp yoghurt to become effervescent. Then, add the yoghurt to the egg mixture as well. Finally, add the flour and stir the mixture with a spoon.

Pour oil in a pan to heat up. Next, lower the stove by 1. Take a spoonful of the mixture you've mixed up. Put it in the heated oil and fry.

The batter is thicker than the kind used for pancakes, it looks more like cake batter. Flip the fritters over carefully to fry on the other side as well.

Serve hot. Smear them with plum or strawberry jam. The ingredients are enough for about 12.
