How to cook
Prepare your leg of lamb for baking. Put it in a suitable oven dish and season it with salt.
Melt the butter just slightly. Add the paprika and remaining spices to it. Stir.
Poke the leg in several spots using a sharp knife. Clean the garlic, remove the excess peels but don't peel the cloves completely.
Stick a garlic clove, slightly mashed, in each cut in the leg.
Smear the leg generously with the butter with spices.
Pour in 2-3 cups cool water. Wrap the oven dish very well with aluminum foil.
Bake the lamb on low heat for about 3-4 hours.
Toward the end of baking, remove the foil and let it catch a golden tan.
