Clean and wash the shanks. Season them with salt, black pepper, savory and smear with the mashed garlic and mustard.

Arrange them in an oven dish, pour hot water and part of the beer, wine and the melted butter over them. Cover with foil.

Bake for 1 hour 30 min. 10 min. before it's ready, top up with the remaining wine and beer if needed and bake to a reddened crust.

As a garnish, serve mashed potatoes or rice. Bon appetit!
