"An incredibly delicious tutmanik that`ll make you get up early in the morning just to try it while still warm."

Ingredients

  • milk - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml), cool
  • yeast - 1 cube
  • eggs - 3
  • salt - 1 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • butter - 1 1/2 packets
  • flour - as much as the dough absorbs
  • feta cheese - 17.5 oz (500 g)

How to cook

Dissolve the yeast in the water with 1-2 tbsp flour and a little sugar. Once effervescent, add this to the flour along with the eggs, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp sugar and the cool milk. Knead a dough. Leave it to rise.

Then divide it into 3 equal parts. Dip each one in melted butter. Roll them out.

Arrange the 3 parts on top of one another, with crumbled feta cheese in between. Roll the whole thing up into a roll and/or twist it.

Cut it into pieces about 2″ (5 cm) tall. Arrange them in an oiled oven dish.

Bake in the oven until ready.
