Dissolve the yeast in a little milk or water, with a pinch of salt and pinch of sugar.
Stir and then pour the resulting mixture into the flour. Knead a dough, divide it into 4 parts. Roll out each one into a round sheet, cut each of those into 8 triangles.
Smear them with marmalade and wrap up into scones. Arrange them in a well-buttered oven dish. Let them rise for 1 hour and smear with beaten egg yolk. Bake until ready. Optionally, you can sprinkle them with seeds or powdered sugar.
