"These pitas are so tasty you can eat them as you would regular bread, as a snack or main course."

Ingredients

  • water - 1 cup, cool
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g)
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • flour - 2 1/2 cups (600 g)
  • stuffing
  • cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • processed cheese - 4 round slices
  • feta cheese - 2 oz (50 g)
  • butter - 1 tbsp
  • fenugreek - for sprinkling

How to cook

Dissolve the yeast in cool water and add the sugar. Leave it for 10 min. to become effervescent.

Pour it into the flour, add the salt and oil. Knead a soft dough and leave it to rise for 30 min. in a warm area. Divide the dough into 4 balls.

Form each one into a pita about the size of a plate. Sprinkle with pieces of processed cheese, crumbled feta and grated cheese on top.

Sprinkle with fenugreek and distribute pieces of butter on top. Bake the pitas in a preheated 340°F (170 °C) oven about 25 min.
