How to cook
Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the whites in a bowl with half the sugar to snow. Beat the yolks in another bowl with the remaining sugar, add the oil and vanilla.
Sift the flour and baking powder, add them to the egg yolk mixture while stirring nonstop and alternating with hot water. Divide this resulting mixture into 2 bowls.
To 1, add the cocoa and stir. To the other, add the beaten egg white mixture and stir slowly and carefully in one direction with a wooden spatula.
Oil a cake form, sprinkle it with flour, pour in the yellow mixture, sprinkle a little cocoa on top and pour in the brown mixture.
Bake at 338°F (170 °C) for 40-50 min. until your toothpick comes out dry when you poke the cake. Finally, remove it from the form and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
