Stir together all the ingredients, while adding the flour slowly, a little at a time. You need to get a soft dough.
Tear balls from the dough, roll them well to make them nicely rounded, then pull on them slightly in several spots.
Arrange them in an oiled oven dish. Smear them with a beaten egg yolk and bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven.
