  • prunes - healthy and well ripened
  • sugar - 2 cups (500 g) per 2 lb (1 kg) prunes


Wash the prunes, remove the pits and put them in a large pot to boil a bit.

Once they soften, mash them in a blender or in a meat grinder.

Stir the sugar with the prune puree on the stove and boil until you get a thick marmalade.

Distribute into suitable jars and store in a dry place away from sunlight.
