Ingredients

  • bell peppers - 4.5 lb (2 kg)
  • carrots - 4.5 lb (2 kg)
  • cauliflowers - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • celery
  • peppers - 12, curly
  • marinade
  • vinegar - 2 1/2 cups (600 ml)
  • water - 1 cup
  • sugar - 2 cups
  • salt - 1/4 cup
  • black pepper - 1 packet, grains
  • bay leaf - 4
  • oil - 4 tbsp

Preparation

Clean the peppers of seeds and cut them into pieces, the carrots into round slices, the celery finely. Pour the ingredients for the marinade in a pot and leave on the stove to boil.

Submerge the chopped veggies in 2-3 lots in the boiling marinade for 2-3 min. at a time and take out with a slotted spoon.

Remove from the stove and stir in 3 aspirins into the marinade until they dissolve. Fill dry jars with the veggies, pour on marinade up to the rims of the jars.

Close with caps and turn them upside down. Leave them as is until cooled. They vacuum seal, don't sterilize! Put them away in a dark, cool area for the winter!
