Wash the pumpkin and clean it thoroughly from its seeds.
Cut it into round slices starting from the narrower part.
Peel the rind and arrange the slices in an oven dish.
Pour in the water and sprinkle generously with sugar.
Put in the oven and bake until ready.
Note: It's best to bake it in a wood-fire stove that has an oven. This one here was baked in such an oven.
