How to cook
Wash the apples well and remove their seedy core. Then chop them finely. Remove the pits from the dates and cut them into small pieces.
In a suitable container, melt the butter and add the sugar and honey. Stir carefully until the sugar melts completely, then add the chopped dates.
After 3-4 min., add the flour, oats, baking powder, finely chopped apples and lemon juice to the buttery mixture.
Stir all the ingredients very well and pour the mixture into a cake form containing baking paper at the bottom.
Decorate with walnuts on top and bake in a preheated 370°F (190 °C) oven about 30 min. Then lower the heat to 320°F (160 °C) and bake another 10-12 min.
