  • tomatoes - 33 lb (15 kg)
  • banana peppers - 2 lb (1 kg) (or other non - spicy type)
  • oil - 1/2 bottle (or less)
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • salt - to taste
  • white pepper - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1 pinch
  • parsley - 1 bunch
  • garlic - 2 cloves (optional)

Wash and peel the tomatoes. Chop them finely or pass them through a grinder. I simply chopped them finely and poured into a large, wide tray.

Boil on 2 gas stove tops (since the tray is large). If you don't have a backyard, then make the appetizer that way.

Once it starts boiling, start stirring nonstop to prevent burning. Season with the salt and sugar. Taste it after a little while and if needed, add more spices.

Later, add in the banana peppers, white and black pepper, and optionally add garlic. Once thickened well and it leaves a furrow when you stir, add in the oil.

Turn it off, sprinkle with finely chopped parsley. Once cooled, distribute into jars and boil another 20 min. to sterilize.find similar recipes here
