New Year`s Meat Roll with Tasty Garnish
- mince - 2 lb (1 kg) (pork or mixture)
- bacon - 9 oz (250 g), smoked, sliced
- eggs - 3
- mushrooms - 10, marinated
- pickles - 6
- carrots - 3
- olives - 10
- processed cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
- mince seasonings
- eggs - 1
- onions - 1
- black pepper
- breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp
- potatoes - 10
- butter - 1/5 cup (60 g)
- garlic - 1 tsp, powdered
- olive oil
Knead the mince with the listed seasonings and put in the fridge for at least half a day. Boil the eggs and cut them in half, cut the carrots and pickles intro strips.
Cut the mushrooms, olives and processed cheese into pieces. Put baking paper on the counter, smear it with oil and spread out the mince in it evenly in a thick layer.
In the middle, arrange the ingredients as shown in the photo and wrap it into a roll using the paper, while pressing and tightening.
Transfer the roll with the paper into a suitable platter or tray. Cover the roll with pieces of smoked bacon, overlapping them, and bake in a moderate oven for about 1 hour.
Prepare the sauteed potato garnish by boiling the potatoes, peeling and cutting them, then putting them to braise in a pan with butter and a little oil.
Season with a pinch of vegetable seasoning, powdered garlic and dill. You can also make an extra garnish of braised carrots with pickles.
