Wash and dry the chicken legs. Sprinkle them with salt and black pepper. Peel and cut the potatoes into slices. Heat a little oil in a pan.
Add the garlic cloves and fry the potatoes until semi-cooked. Take them out into a plate and fry the legs in the same oil. Take them out into a plate as well. Pour in a little oil and fry the mushrooms.
Then add the mashed tomatoes, add the meat and pour in the broth. Add the spices and leave the dish on the stove to boil about 10 min.
Arrange the potatoes in an oiled tray. Arrange the chicken legs on top and pour on the sauce. If needed, pour on more broth. Bake at 392°F (200 °C) about 40 min.
Toward the end, take the tray out, sprinkle with grated cheese and pour on the cream. Return to the oven for a few more min.
