How to cook
Beat the softened but not melted lard with the sugar. Add the egg, vanilla (can use essence) and stir.
Add the flour and knead a dough.
Turn the oven on to 347°F (175 °C) (I had the fan on).
Form balls the size of a walnut and flatten them slightly, place them in a tray covered with baking paper. Make an indentation in the middle with your finger.
Put a piece of fruit from the jam in each indentation (I used cherry jam but you can use whatever kind you like).
Bake about 15 min. until slightly reddened and take them out.
Roll them in or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
