"You can`t just throw the steaks in the tray and expect good results. They require a decent marinade and patience."

Ingredients

  • pork steaks - 6, neck steaks with bone
  • mustard - 2 tbsp
  • honey - 2 tbsp
  • olive oil - 2 tbsp (30 ml)
  • paprika - 1 tsp, smoked
  • cayenne pepper - 1 pinch
  • soy sauce - 2 tbsp (30 ml)
  • cumin - 1 tsp
  • thyme - 1 tsp
  • black pepper
  • bay leaf - 1
  • red wine - 4/5 cup (200 ml)

How to cook

Arrange the steaks next to each other in a tray, without overlapping them.

In a bowl, mix together the rest of the products and spices. Stir and pour this mixture over the meat.

Put foil on top and return to the fridge for 3 hours to marinate.

Then take the meat out to room temperature for 30 min.

Preheat the oven to 356°F (180 °C). Cover the meat with aluminum foil and put it to bake for 50 min.

Take the tray out, remove the foil and bake another 15-20 min. to a nice crisp.
