  • lasagna sheets - 9 oz (250 g)
  • mince - 18 oz (500 g)
  • tomatoes - 28 oz (800 g) canned
  • carrots - 1
  • onions - 1 head or 3 sprigs of green onions
  • cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • basil - fresh or dry
  • salt
  • black pepper - to taste


1. Fry the very finely chopped onion and carrot in a little oil. Add the mince and using a wooden spoon, stir so that the mixture separates into small pieces. Add the tomatoes, basil, salt and black pepper. Leave it on low heat to simmer until the mixture thickens.

2. Place the lasagna sheets in a large pot with plenty of water and a little olive oil, leave them in just until tender, being careful not to let them stick together.

3. Set aside about 2 oz (50 grams) of cheese and begin to arrange in a medium sized oven dish as follows: a layer of sauce, a layer of cheese, a layer of lasagna sheets, and so on until you run out of products. Bake at 428°F (220 °C) for 15 minutes, then sprinkle with the set aside cheese and bake for another 5-6 minutes. The ingredients listed are for 6 servings.
