"To make the tastiest pig you can imagine, you`re going to need lard, patience and some good embers. And if you`re looking for help eating it - we`re always available!"

Ingredients

  • pig - 1 pig (about 11 lb (5 kg) - 13 lb (6 kg) ), without giblets
  • lard - 1/3 cup (80 g)
  • tomato paste - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g)
  • salt
  • pepper - to taste

How to cook

Clean and wash the pig and sprinkle well with salt and crushed pepper.

Skewer the pig length- wise, smear with grease and some of the tomato paste. Sprinkle the outside with salt and pepper, then roast.

Cover the roasting pig with the rest of the lard.
