Wash the rice. Heat oil and fry the crushed onions, optionally you can add 1 grated carrot, then strain.
Add canned beans and the sliced sausage. Stir for a few minutes and add the rice along with the tomato paste dissolved in a little water.
Season with spices and transfer everything in a greased tray. Add about 4 and 1/2 cups of hot broth and put the tray in gently a heated oven at 356°F (180 °C).
The dish is baked until the rice completely absorbs the liquid.
