Pour oil in a square oven tray, enough to cover the bottom and start spreading out the phyllo pastry sheets 2 at a time. Sprinkle a little sugar, 2-3 tbsp oil, crumbled walnuts and a little cinnamon between them.
Cut into rhombuses and bake in a preheated oven for 40-50 min. until ready. Cover with a towel - to soften it while it cools.
Boil the syrup in a pot and while it's still hot, pour it over the baklava.
Optionally, you can add 4-5 cloves while stacking the baklava. Sprinkle some sesame seeds onto each rhombus.
