Ingredients

  • pumpkins - 2 cups pumpkin puree
  • sugar - 2/3 cup + 1/4 cup brown
  • condensed milk - 1 1/2 cups
  • eggs - 3
  • cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
  • cloves - 1 pinch ground
  • ginger - 1 pinch
  • oranges - grated rind of 1/2 fruit
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • pie crust - buttery, ready - made, for pie
  • confectionery cream - sweet whipped cream for serving

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 392°F (200 °C). In a large bowl mix the pumpkin puree, both sugars and the orange peel, then add the eggs and condensed milk to them.

Mix until you get a homogeneous mixture. Spread the dough into a greased baking dish and fill the corners and sides well.

Pour the pumpkin mixture in and put the pie to bake for 15 minutes at 482°F (250 °C) initially, then for 45 minutes at 356°F (180 °C).

If necessary, cover with foil, if the dough begins to turn brown. Serve the pumpkin pie with whipped confectionery cream poured on top.find similar recipes here
