Ingredients

  • yeast - 2 1/5 tsp (11 g) dry
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 1 + 1 egg yolk for smearing
  • water - 1 cup warm
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 cups (500 g)
  • honey - 2 tbsp

How to cook

Knead a dough from the products. Leave it to rise in a warm area for 20-25 min.

In the meantime, heat a pot of water with 2 tbsp honey on the stove.

From the risen dough, form small balls, cut out a hole in each with a knife and stretch them out to a bagel with your hands.

Dip them in boiling water for 2-3 min., take out and arrange in a tray laid out with baking paper. Smear them with egg yolk, sesame seeds or other seeds and bake in a preheated 392°F (200 °C) oven.

What you'll get is about 16 small bagels.
