Cut the steaks into 6 pieces. Crisp them on both sides in a pan with 1 tbsp oil. Put them aside in a plate. Chop the onions finely. Grate the carrot.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Braise the onions a bit in a pot with 3 tbsp oil, then add the potatoes and carrot. Stir. Add the tomatoes and stir again.
Salt. Pour in hot water. Add savory and stir. Leave the stew to simmer until ready.
I don't add flour because the stew will thicken when the potatoes boil. Eat with warm bread.
