Beat the eggs with the salt and sugar. Subsequently add the milk and oil while beating nonstop with a mixer.
Sift the flour and baking powder and pour them in in stages, while stirring carefully with a wooden spatula until completely absorbed.
Grate the cheddar, dice the salami, chop the green onions (fresh or dried). Add all these to the cake mixture, along with the spices, and stir.
Pour part of the mixture into a suitable oiled and floured form, to cover 1 finger of the bottom. Place the hard boiled and peeled eggs upright. Pour on the remaining mixture to cover the eggs entirely.
Bake at 374°F (190 °C) about 25 min. or to a dry toothpick (depending on oven). Before taking out of the form, wait for it to cool almost completely.
Serve the cake sprinkled with more of the chopped green onions.
