The bread needs to be several days old. I used real bread without preservatives.
Cut the bread into squares but leave them connected at the base. Cut the cheese into very thin strips and distribute them in the bread.
Melt the butter and pour it over the bread. Season with salt and paprika.
Wrap the bread with aluminum foil (not tightly) and bake in a preheated oven 15-20 min. If needed, remove the foil and finish baking but be careful not to burn the paprika.
Serve with finely chopped green onions.
