Chicken Legs Baked in the Oven

  • chicken legs - 5, about 3.5 lb (1.5 kg)
  • potatoes - 4 - 5, medium
  • spice mix - for chicken
  • all purpose sauce - or soy sauce
  • oil
  • beer - or white wine


Wash the chicken legs, arrange them in the baking tray and roll them in the spice mix and all purpose sauce. Put 4-5 coarsely chopped potatoes around the legs as a garnish.

Pour on oil and a little more water. I added 1/3 cup (75 ml) beer but you can use white wine instead.

Cover the tray with aluminum foil and put it to bake in a preheated 482°F (250 °C) oven.

Bake about 50 min. Then remove the foil and bake another 15-20 min. until the legs turn a golden color. To prevent the legs from drying after removing the foil, baste them with the sauce they've baked in.

Serve with a seasonal garnish of your choice. I used the potatoes that baked alongside the legs. They turned out super delicious thanks to the spices.
