How to cook
Bake the semolina in a moderate oven until golden, stirring periodically with a wooden spoon.
Add butter to the warm semolina and stir it in to melt. Then add the hot syrup made from the sugar and water.
Stir well and close the pot with a lid, for the syrup to get absorbed. Spread out the still warm semolina -halva into a baking dish or form, smooth it out and chop into pieces.
Classic semolina - halva is served cooled. Optionally, serve it with jam of your choice.
